Solved real-time data, scale, and reliability challenges for a fintech platform serving active retail traders.
- Built real-time market data interfaces in React and TypeScript, including scanner dashboards, chart overlays, and portfolio tracking views used directly by traders.
- Designed and built backend data pipelines in Python and Flask consolidating 4–5 financial data sources (Nasdaq, Yahoo Finance, others) into one live feed, plus a Discord bot (Ruby, Python) delivering real-time market and volatility alerts to ~100 active users.
- Optimized PostgreSQL scanner queries across 12,000–13,000 tracked tickers by batching scans into smaller segments instead of single large chunks. Query times went from several seconds down to near-instant.
